Another day, another breakfast sandwich spread! Today’s recipe is going to be super quick. And this time, I thought about those with sweet tooth. How many of you love the classic Nutella with your sourdough bread or crepes? I did love it in my pre-vegan life but then I realized how ‘not so healthy’ it is. So, I tried to do it myself, firstly by making hazelnut butter- but it was so time-consuming that I knew wouldn’t do it very often. That’s how I came up with this Vegan Chocolate Spread!

It is a healthier version for breakfast or a snack that is made of…. sweet potato! So let’s make this delicious sweet chocolatey spread!

Equipment

  • Baking Tray
  • Bowl
  • Fork

Ingredients

  • 1 Sweet Potato medium
  • 4 pieces of Dark Chocolate
  • 2 tbsp Peanut Butter

Instructions

  • Preheat the oven to 200°C, cut sweet potato in half and bake it for approximately 30 minutes (or until it is completely soft).
  • Once your sweet potato is soft, take it out from the oven and smash it with a fork while hot. Add pieces of chocolate and let it melt. Then mix it well with sweet potato and peanut butter.
  • Let it cool before serving.
